Well the secret is out now - Ben Collins is the Stig or rather 'was' the Stig. The timing of the revelation could be a publicity stunt for all you know. BBC has had a slump in Top Gear ratings and with the budgetary cuts little publicity would do no harm for the show in the off season. I still feel there has always been more than one Stig, but who knows for sure?
I came across this video (check the upload date - 2 years back) and he was right all the while!
On a side note, I did see a preview of Top Gear US and it was terrible. They may be famous in their own right but the on-screen chemistry is clearly missing.
