Homer challenge

This is what happens when you hit a home run and challenge the call :P

Hing/Kour vs Cash/Wilander

Sporting Extravaganza

So much to see but very little time! Most of these events were overlapping at some point of the day and I was trying to watch them all :P

-Kournikova/Hingis vs Cash/Wilander (beauty queens vs golden warriors)
-Nadal vs Verdasco. (Nadal pulled a 360 Matador which I thought was sensational!)
-NFL opening game - Vikings vs Saints (sad opening for the Vikings, AP was hardly played in the second half and their passing/reception was horrible)

Hottest duel!

Caroline Wozniacki battled Maria Sharapova in this year's US Open Round 4 and came out victorious. I'am a big fan of both these talented players (and it does help that they are both gorgeous) and I was excited to watch them play so early in the tournament and the match lived to its expectations. Sharapova lost because of her errors and Wozniacki was patient and disciplined enough to win comfortably.

Sharapova has always had a poor serve and she uses her aggression to score enough winners to make up for the errors and double faults, but it wasn't enough to topple Caroline this time around.

US Open 2010 Day 2

First round match - Djokovic vs. Troicki

Great comeback by Novak Djokovic as he overcame from 2 sets down to win his first round match on a hot Tuesday afternoon in New York. At one point he had been staring at a second break in the 4th set, but he prevailed in the demanding conditions thereby keeping his record intact of never losing a 5 setter after trailing 2 sets to 1.

Post match interview he quips, "The match made me feel like when I'am with my girlfriend" and the crowd erupts :P
